PlaylistGoats is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME]. We collect the minimum data needed to run the service, and we never sell your personal data — not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.

1. What we collect and why

• Account details (email, password hash): to run your account and log you in. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes — we can't see them.
• Payment details: processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — only the customer reference and payment status Stripe gives us.
• Your activity (playlists saved, pitches fired, submissions counted, searches run): to operate the product — your campaign and your progress.
• Login metadata (IP address, device type, login times): for security — detecting account sharing and fraud, and keeping your account safe.
• Referral data (who invited you, who you invited): to run the Refer & Earn ladder and enforce its anti-fraud rules.
• Exit survey answers (if you cancel): to improve the product. Read by the founder, not sold or shared.

2. What we don't do

We don't sell personal data. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't read your pitch emails — they're sent from your own email app, not through us.

3. Who sees your data

Beyond our own operations: Stripe (payments), and our hosting provider (servers). That's it. If we're ever legally compelled to disclose data, we'll tell you unless the law forbids it.

4. Curator data

Curator contact details shown in the app come from public sources (playlist descriptions, public profiles). If you're a curator and want your details removed or corrected, email [CONTACT EMAIL] or dispute a rating.

5. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account exists. Delete your account by emailing [CONTACT EMAIL] and we'll remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we're legally required to keep records (e.g. payment history).

6. Security

We use industry-standard practices: hashed passwords, HTTPS in production, rate-limited logins, and restricted admin access. No system is perfect — if we ever have a breach that affects you, we'll tell you promptly.

7. Children

PlaylistGoats is not for anyone under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

8. Changes

We'll post material changes here with a new date. Continued use means you accept them.
